Social media is the bane of many agent's marketing strategies. It's always changing. What used to work in 2009 doesn't work in 2018. And what works in 2018 will likely no longer matter in 2019. So what is your contingency plan? If you take social media out of the equation, how can you still operate a real estate business? Here are a few ideas...

1. Learn Good Networking Skills

The key benefit of social media is that it makes networking a little easier. You can still thrive though! Be a connector, meet new people by being active in the community, and stay in touch with your current contacts!

2. Invest in Google Advertising

How else are people going to find you? Maybe be that first person that pops up when they type in "Homes for sale near me"!

3. Have a Solid Website

If you are going to forego social media, you should still remember that over 90% of home buyers will find their home online. You still need to be online. Thus, you should have a solid website with tools that real estate prospects can use to find their next home.

4. Keep in Touch via Email, Phone, and Physical Mail

With so much of your time and budget freed up from giving up social media...you can spend it on other channels. Be sure to stay in touch with leads any way you can. Not following up with a lead is a great way to lose business to a competitor.
