Zero Group Boards & TONS Of Finance Posts

Industry Observer with Manifest Like Whoa!

Last week was a whirlwind of blogging activity. I went completely nuts writing, posting and creating new pins, but now that the dust has settled I can sit back, look at the big picture, and be grateful for a job well done!

One thing I'm learning about myself through blogging is that I much prefer to do things in quick but overwhelming bursts, rather than drag things out over a less stressful term.

I had a huge goal of fully fleshing out the personal finance section on my blog. In my experience it takes about 3 months to really get rolling. I'm fine with that, but I didn't want to wait 3 months to build my content! So... I'm back to writing at least one new post most days.

At first I thought I was going to do short, crappy 600-word posts. But that hasn't happened.

Every one of my posts is at least 1,300 words long. Most are closer to 2,000. A handful are over 2,500. These aren't crap posts, but they are just flying from my fingertips and my heart based on all I've learned going from near homeless to 6-figures.

I think many women suffer from impostor syndrome in that we doubt ourselves and our knowledge and expertise so much that it paralyses us from ever starting.

I knew I wanted to write about money -- particularly money mindset -- since the beginning. But I was just too scared. I didn't feel like I knew enough or like anybody would ever listen to me. And now it's turning out to be the easiest, most heartfelt content I've ever had the privilege of composing. I shortchanged myself for 7 months because of fear.

But the fear is over.

Pinterest - No More Group Boards

And my plan to get rid of group boards and ultimately pinning 3rd party content at all is solidly underway! I have NO group boards now and am only using 3rd party pins to beef up my new Finance boards. But once I get signals they are being "seen" by Pinterest (which is coming soon... I have one finance post gearing up to go viral)... I'm out of that too!

My blog life has become SO much easier since not dealing with that so much!

Instead of worrying about group rules, finding good pins to pin and all that stuff. I literally JUST write and make cute pins and send them out with no regard for duplicates or spam.

AND... AND?

And my Pinterest reach is improving. I went from 1.3m to 1.5m since doing this.

AND I'm on track to earn $700 or so from ads (which is pageview based) in my first full month.

I'd say my strategy is shaking out right...

I can't wait until the transformation is finally complete and I never have to worry about anything but content ever again.

Dreamblogging lol!

This week I want to crank out the last 6 or so pieces and I'll finally be done with the "setup" of the finance niche. Then I can go back to writing what I want for whatever niche and it'll all be the same deal.

I have a few mailing lists going on too, but no email sequence for all of them. I think sobriety has a sequence but fitness and money definitely do not. So I'm going to work on additional finance optins and a good welcome sequence for that.

I want TONS of new pins to send out, since I'm only sending my own stuff. I want like 20 or so per week. But that's really easy.

I'm going to just write the last 6 articles, toy with my mail sequences, and design cute pins!

Blogging is fun! <3
