DIY...only if you know how.

I am not sure if this was coming down or going up.

When I walked in I had been forewarned that they owner was remodeling.

Well,  there was certainly a mess that looked like some kind of upgrade was thought about...

Just not how to accomplish it.

The first thing  I told the seller was..."You need a PROFESSIONAL to finish this!"

Morning William.

That sir, is the understatement of the year.  So, did you figure out why that jack was there?

Might be a good idea to wait until the "do over" was done before showings.

Good morning William. A definite reminder to complete projects before allowing showings. Enjoy your day!

The problem is that the people who do not know... do not know.

William,

I absolutely dislike those who insist on doing it themselves.  You can always tell.  A

Looks like the owner had a good start on things. Even had a sturdy book to hold that jack in place.

Very good advice, William.  I have seen more than my share of marketed homes which were DIY nightmares, that would likey require a tear down to improve.

As a former Master Property Manager, I can confirm a lot of property owners have lost a lot of money trying to do repairs themselves, rather than using a professional.  I told them "time is money" and the sooner we get the property in rent ready condition, the better.  But some wanted to take their time and do repairs and make readys.

Those DIY projects sometimes need some skilled assistance.

We are lucky to have some good help with our projects.
