Not only is this a great idea to have people update their AR photos, but it's long overdue. I had a series of photos taken almost a decade ago and I thought I hadn't changed much (wishful thinking). Since this was the picture I used on most of my marketing, (and I believed it was representative of my personality) I was loathe to change it along the way.
But so many times I would see the same pictures of my peers on AR that had been there for the past decade and I would often wonder what those people looked like in real life . . . and realized I was guilty of the same "misrepresentation."
Earlier this month I changed my profile photo to a picture taken a few weeks ago, and was tickled to see so many others following suit. Little did I know it was an ingenious ploy by Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®,CRS, spearheading a contest for us to update our profile images. I'm all for truth in advertising!
It's definitely time for some new professional pics, but in the meantime, I've at least brought mine into the current decade. Thanks for the encouragement for all of us, Paul!
. . . and I love the idea of Let's Get Personal. That used to go a long way on AR in establishing camaraderie.
