If you have been reading my weekly reports of new inventory in Monroe NY (Orange County), you may have noticed the following. Most of the single family homes are not in a specific community. They are typically privately owned homes on public roads, with no specific amenities or fees. That being said, many people enjoy living in a development. So starting this week, I will highlight one Monroe NY development at a time, explaining what makes each one different. They will be in no particular order. This week I'll be sharing information about Mansion Ridge.
Mansion Ridge is located off of Orange Turnpike, on the Southern part of the town of Monroe. The development was built in the early 2000s. There are 120 homes in the community which consist of both townhouses and single family homes.
Mansion Ridge is a 24-hour guarded and gated community that includes mountain views and a heated in-ground pool and cabana. In addition, the complex overlooks the Jack Nicklaus Signature Club at Mansion Ridge golf course. The golf facility includes a clubhouse and dining located in a 12,000 square foot stone barn, a Golf Shop, bar and lounge area and conference room.
The Mansion Ridge townhouses have between 2,000 to 3,600 square feet of living space. They have three to four bedrooms, and a minimum of two and a half baths. The townhouses come with a two-car garage, central air conditioning, and a variety of custom finishes. As of October 2018, Mansion Ridge townhouses were priced around $400K.
In terms of the single family homes at Mansion Ridge, most contain between four and five bedrooms, with a minimum of three and a half baths. Individual homes may contain a myriad of features including patios, decks, mountain views, hardwood flooring, guest quarters, decorative columns, gourmet kitchens, fireplaces, multiple staircases, master bedroom suites and more. The homes come with two or three car garages and driveways. Prices range between $500-700K.
The Mansion Ridge community is located only minutes from the center of Monroe. In addition, close by are two shopping centers with grocery stores, liquor stores, dry cleaners, bagel shops, and more. In only 15 or 20 minutes, home owners can be at Woodbury Commons outlet center and all the shopping that area provides (Best Buy, Home Depot, Walmart, Outback and more).
