To be lame or not to be lame? That is the question.

The past weekend we had my daughter's 6th birthday party. The weather was good, the sun was shining, the aroma from the grill was delightful, and the birthday cake was delicious. My daughter (Jordyn) had a great time which made the day perfect, regardless of how tired I was at the end of the day.

My wife & oldest daughter had put together goodie bags for all the kids, filled with candy and little knick knacks to handout as folks started to leave the party. Well, I had put together my own little goodie bag for the adults. In it I had my business cards (of course), a personalized New York Yankees & Mets 2008 schedule (football schedule coming soon), and a personalized Sudoku puzzle.  It's important that we stay in the minds of our S.O.I., so why not market ourselves every chance we get, right?

I like your idea of the football schedule!  I can't believe that it's almost football time again!  My hubby is an avid football fan, has no favorite team, just roots for the underdog....it use to be Monday night football on TV now it's every night football....more time for active rain for me :)

At my son's B-day, we had the local hockey mascot.  We had the party in a park... took lots of pictures of him with kids... gave them a card.

Your daughter is absolutely adorable!  What a way to market yourself, we tend to forget those easy opportunities.  You have to stay in the thoughts of your SOI as often as possible, hopefully forever :o)  Enjoy every moment with your children, you'll blink and wonder where the time has gone.

Eugene-Darling daughter!  Great idea about the "grown up goodie bags".  I got a buyer off of my son's birthday party, but it was more by accident.  I gave my business card to one on the parents so they could call me to arrange to pick up their son.  She said they had been looking for a home, and 2 months later we closed!!!  You would think by that experience I would have figured it out???  I guess that 's why I get on AR.

Hey Eugene, I just noticed that you have a point 2 agent site!  So do I.  I have had a basic site for a couple years but just upgraded to a professional package.  How long have you had yours, and is your standard, professional, or premium?  Just trying to get ideas.  Thanks

Pam - Thanks & Congrats! It must be a great feeling to generate some business by accident. I'm sure you've figured it out a long time ago. Right now I have the standard; however, do you feel upgrading has been worth it for you? I think I eventually will too.

Debbie - I came up with that one myself.  I have a ball with Jordyn & my 2yr old Jaden. It's great...Thanks!

I like the idea of including goody bags for adults at the children's party. Lame? Not really. The items are useful.

Rosario - The items are useful & costly, so might as well give them out whenever the opportunity arises. Thanks!

Wonderful opportunity and I am glad you thought of taking advantage of it.

And Jordyn is going to give you BIG trouble in a few years. I know. Mine is 13. You'll have to knock the boys away with a bat. 8-)
