Fur... today I want to talk about the fur in my life I'm grateful for. The live kind with paws. I recently had a sick day. It was about 5 or 6 years ago since my last sick day. First I am a well person and secondly I don't let little stuff keep me down, if I have work to do I can generally get it done without sharing my germs, but Wednesday last week I really couldn't get out of bed.
My two cats spent the day by my side. They don't not even get along with one another, but when I was sick in bed they put their differences aside and slept with me until Donald got home. When I did make me way out of bed to let the dogs out they "did their business" and came back in right away with no foolishness (which is the norm- one of them will always find a bird or squirrel or deer outside the fence that they want to bark at for 15 minutes on the average morning) But when I was not feeling well they were both on their best behavior.
It's funny how they just seem to know when something isn't right. I am very grateful for the fur babies in my life.
I currently have 4 at home
Skitty and Ittle Bitness are the cats, Glen and Laney are our doggies. And I have an office Kitty too, her name is Meow Meow.
I am also grateful for those who have crossed the rainbow bridge... Gabby, Shop Cat, Mollee, Charlie, Black Boy, Murphy, Woodpile, Callie, Izzie and Gracie.
And I can't fail to mention Jack who lives with my parents who is a former office cat and my grand dogs Lexi and Daisy.
The photo I included is Shop Cat who was a rescue from a maintenance shop at GMC back in the mid 80s. The photo was taken probably taken around 1993- Abigail looks about 5.
