As Daylight Savings Time Ends Tonight...
Will One Hour Make A Difference In The Housing Market?
Tonight, in many parts of the United States, we will "fall back" and move our clocks back by one hour. For many, getting back that extra hour of sleep lost last spring makes a huge difference! For me, having light outside my windows by 7:00 am is the "bonus." But did you know that one hour in the housing market can also make a difference?
The infographic below shows just how much of a difference an hour can make in the housing market.
If you're a home seller, it's obviously great news that each hour not only do 596 homes sell, but an average of 278 homes regain some positive equity, while median home values increase by $1.20. If you're a home buyer, this should tell you that the longer you wait, the more you will pay for a home. The time to buy is NOW!
So don't forget to move your clock back tonight. And maybe you can use that extra hour you've gained to search for a new home or get your home ready to sell. Afterall, each hour does make a difference. And those one hours do add up!
