Either way the clock moves it generally is not a healthy effect on my body and mind. When I travel I typically stay on eastern time in my sleep pattern and my auto clock. Of course you don't really have an option not to change your smart watch and phone.
Although DST was for farming originally it also affects the economy greatly in the United States today. And while there are many who talk about the loss in productivity when time changes in the spring, there is so much more to it..
A study was done in two cities that respectively do and don't change to DST in spring... while the city that did had a .9% increase in spending the 30 days that followed the corresponding decline in consumer spending towers the increase falling between 2.2% and 4.9% at different places across the country. It's really time to stop all this nonsense and just leave it alone.
Write your elected officials. Perhaps if the 300 million people affected by this wrote they would get the idea and change it. Now I gotta get some sleep. My brain thinks it's my bed time.
