Before you vote.
Will you remember promises made and promises not kept, or will your vote be based on new promises?
Some promises are very vague, as "We will protect social security" but don't tell you how they are going to do that. Will they double the taxes working people are now paying? You know that the ranks of the seniors are increasing faster than the workforce, so unless taxpayers are going to pay more into social security I don't see how they are going to "PROTECT" social security.
My answer is to increase immigration and give preference to those who have skills that we need here and also are younger who will be paying into the system for at least 20 years.
Years ago (1945) we had 41 people working and paying into the system for everyone getting social security payments. Today we have less than 3 working and paying into the system for each recipient.. See https://www.mercatus.org/publication/how-many-workers-support-one-social-security-retiree
Remember history:
Who said;
Social Security will never be taxed, it will never be used for anything other than Social Security, it will be voluntary. There is so much money in Social Security it will never run out.
If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, Your insurance premiums will be reduced.
