Shadow Mountain RV Park Mena Arkansas ~ A Great Place to Spend Some Time.
One of Don's and my hobbies is RVing. We enjoy taking our home away from home, our Fifth Wheel to different locations and exploring.
This time of year is the annual Foliage Trip. We didn't go very far for this adventure, less than a couple of hours away, to Mena, Arkansas.
We drove up Friday and got set up and then spent Saturday exploring to see how many beautiful scenses of fall foliage we could find and we found PLENTY!
Our home away from home this time was Shadow Mountain RV Park.
We've stayed at Shadow Mountain twice. It is such a pleasant place to call home for a few days with gorgeous trees and natural surroundings, and very friendly owners. AND don't forget Lady, the sweet, friendly, beautiful, large dog that is the welcoming ambassador for the park. There's a pond on site with a walking trail around it for a pleasant stroll!
We have often done the Talimena Drive for fall foliage viewing this time of year but we usually go at it from the South end, at Broken Bow.. but we enjoyed the drive from Mena this time. We also were able to explore up to Booneville, and Paris Arkansas. A totally enjoyable weekend.
Then this morning, we hooked up and were home in time for breakfast!
Thank you Shadow Mountain RV Park for an enjoyable week-end!
If you're a RV Explorer and are looking for a great get away place... I encourage you to explore our part of the country. Broken Bow Lake, Pine Creek Lake, and Hugo Lake are anchor lakes for our area with acres of Corp Of Engineer land surrounding them. AND should you decide after exploring that you just might want to call this part of the country "home", call me Judi Barrett at Integrity Real Estate Services at 580-212-5946 and let's talk McCurtain County Talk!
