Clay Flowers at a Shop in Hawaii

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

I got so busy this morning that I forgot to post my blog. Between dealing with properly instructing guys who were about to apply sealer to my lanai, visiting with several friends and attending an HOA meeting, it was an easy thing to space out. That's because I am a creature of habit. If I change one thing in my routine, it can throw me off for the day. Like I always write a blog on Active Rain in the early morning, but my early morning was absorbed with too many other activities.

Well, better late than never. Yesterday, I visited with a remarkable artist who has been creating clay flowers that are so realistic it is very hard to tell the difference between a real cattleya orchid and a clay orchid. You can read more in my personal blog today and view a lot more photos at this link: Buy or Make Your Own Clay Flowers in Kailua-Kona.

I enjoy seeing how you embrace your second home, Elizabeth. I was charmed by Kailua-Kona years ago when we had an investment condo on Alii Drive.

Good morning, Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents being a creature of habit is a positive thing.... and orchids are very difficult to keep alive.... I've had one for 5 months and it's not dead yet.... a clay version might be a better option....

Lauren Williams, CPO Flexibility is important. When I get a text message inviting me to coffee, even if I am in the middle of something on my computer I just say to hell with it and go.

Barbara Todaro One of my team members bought me beautiful moth orchid for my birthday at the end of June, and when I left for Hawaii a couple of weeks ago, it just lost its last flower.

Joan Cox Not all of us do a blog when we first get up, but I try to do it. Providing my email from overnight is manageable.

I have found, I should have at least one cup of coffee before I write.  I find less mistakes that way.  :-)

Elizabeth- I have never heard of clay flowers but they look so interesting. I'm not that artistic and like you, have trouble drawing a stick figure or house.

BTW- I have to write my post the night before.

What a fun activity that looks like, Elizabeth.  However, I'm sure if I tried to create them, they wouldn't end up looking anything like they should!

Kathy Streib I often set up my personal blog to drip the night before, especially when I am in Hawaii and my readers are used to seeing my blog in the early morning. But my AR blog I tend to write LIVE as it happens.

Myrl Jeffcoat That's my thoughts about it precisely. Although, when you see the miniature turtles, it becomes clear they are round balls that have been flattened and rolled, then glued together. It helps you to picture images in segments like that.
