Because It Wasn’t On ActiveRain….

One Sunday morning a few weeks ago, Larry asked me if we were in Daylight questionSavings Time.   Did we set our clocks back?

I told him that I didn’t think it was because it wasn’t on ActiveRain!  (Think I’m wrong? Just read the posts written just before and on last Saturday reminding us to do so!)

It occurred to me that besides learning about what the market in Sacramento is doing from Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents , or how Scott Godzyk has to come to the rescue of those sellers who go the discount broker route, we have posts written by fellow members to remind us to Fall Back (or Spring Forward).

For anyone wanting to learn how to market like you mean it, all you have to do is follow Barbara Todaro. But you can also follow Wayne Martin or James Dray to help keep your dendrites firing by seeing how much trivia you know or learning about someone who played an important part in our history.

blogWe are educated about home inspections and Mighty Mo by Jay Markanich and learn better management skills from Grant Schneider.

And we have also been blessed to watch Dorie Dillards and Sharon Tara ’s grandchildren grow and to share in their lives.  And we’ve been there to support members who needed virtual and real hugs from us when tragedy or illness strikes.

Thanks to Will Hamm, we always have a go-to recipe to try or a daily inspirational quote from Paul Henderson.

Not interested in recipes? Don’t read them!

Don’t care about inspirational quotes? Walk on by.

You pick and you choose who you like to read. You pick the topics that hold an interest for you.

For whatever reason you’re here and for whatever reason you blog, there’s a variety of information here for everyone.

Don’t ever hesitate to write about a topic just because you think we may not be interested. You never know!

Hi Kathy

Not sure how I missed this - perhaps my head was still back in Boston - but you're so right about the breadth of reading we find here every single day. Too bad there isn't more time to read more.

Great list of members and their posts. We do tend to follow a certain path.  And as we red consistently it's not too hard to figure out someone's "bend" on blogging.  Great post!

Put 40 years of experience to work for you

Something drove me to this blog of yours today, Kathy. It's a blog I missed because Nov. 8 was the day I flew back to Sacramento from Kona. So odd that I would be here today.

However, 3 things:

thanks for the shout out

I could not figure out what time it was in Kona when I got up until I was awake enough to realize we had no time change

and my friend bought a website through agents' recommendations on AR and she's paid an enormous sum for it to be created, plus $200 a month, and for some reason her IDX shows homes from San Francisco (not Sacramento) and there is actually a Link to SEARCH ZILLOW for homes for sale, OMG. She should have called me first but she said, hey, it was on AR. So downside, too.

It's totally amazing that I find myself turning to some here to fact check when I read something elsewhere.  Some of the brightest in the business have written in these pages.
