Post #2 * I am Thankful for Our Heroes

Home Builder with Long Island Cash Home Buyer

Thank you for our freedom.

Today is Veterans Day. It is the 100th Anniversary of the end of WW 1 and I feel thankful to all that put their lives on the line to keep our Nation Safe.

Imagine if you will what kind of a country we would live in if there were no Heroes to keep us safe and to allow us to fly free. Where would we be without them??

My Dad was in WW 2 as a Doctor some of the stories he told regarding the suffering these wonderful people dealt with for no other reason than that they loved America and they loved  We The People often brought tears to my eyes and always I felt grateful for them.

I also think of being a family member of one of these Heroes. Your son or your husband or your wife or daughter join the army and off they go to fight when needed for us. Some never come home and some come home so damaged that they live in pain for the rest of their lives with little support from those they fought for. Some thanks to God come home as they left but they and their families will always remember the pain of them leaving and the loss of so many that they loved. This little man is paying his respects to a loved one at Arlington National Cemetery.

So forever I will be thankful for our Heroes and do whatever I can to assist our Veterans to have the life that they deserve to have because they truly are our Heroes.

On this day, I give thanks for the BRAVE that make it possible for me to live in the land of the free.

I am also thankful for our heroes - past, present, and future. This will be among my gratitude post as well.  I can only imagine, and yet don't want to, the stories your Dad told about the suffering.

Not just the past hero's but the current ones as well Richard and Beth Witt . As the father of a daughter in the guard I'm wondering what today's soldiers on the boarder are going to face when that mob from Central America tries to storm our nations boarder. No doubt there will be those on this side of the boarder who will treat our soldiers just like they did the soldiers from Viet Nam.

Coming from a family that lost more than our share I don't think we can say enough to our brave hero's

Salute to our brave heroes, past or present, who have done what they could to serve the country. So much gratitude that words cannot express alone.

My Navy son was in Belgium yesterday for the 100 celebration of WWI. He said it was a very emotional ceremony.
