I am so Thankful to be able to spend 3 weeks on the beautiful island of Maui. It has been more than 20 years since I've been here and it is great to be back. I am blessed to be able to hang out at a beachfront condo in Kihei, watching the crystal clear ocean gently lapping the narrow sandy beach. Watching the canoers every morning, the stan up paddle borders, swimmers, beachcomers and sunworshipers. Greatful for seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
I am thankful to have a friend that has volunteered to help me get in the ocean. As some of you know I like to think of myself as recovering from MS and have pretty limited mobility. It has been a long time since I've been swimming, the last time was in a cold lake in Washington more than 15 years ago. One of the beaches here has a beach wheelchair. When I lived here in the past and was strong and healthy I used to help a parapalegic friend get in the ocean. I'd push him into the water in the Beach wheel chair with it's big wheels and when he was done swimming the lifeguards would get him in the chair and get him out. I guess it's my turn to be sitting in the chair instead of pushing, and so looking forward to getting into that salt water.
I am thankful to be a part of eXp Realty, which has enabled me to be able to afford a nice vacation. Thankful that I have even been able to work remotely from here as I had a client contact me to write an offer on a piece of land and I was able to do it, sitting out on the condo lanai in this beautiful spot.
