Today was the first snow of the season . I had to be in the office early this morning . A tech was scheduled to come in a put a program on my laptop . It was questionable when the snow would start .The tech had my laptop done quickly. We were talking and he was concerned  about  picking  up his children if there was an early dismissal . There were many schools closing early

I left the office about 10:45 AM and the fist snow flakes started falling . I took major highways as the minutes went by the heavier the snow flakes were . The roads were all pretreated so they were not slick yet . I was just worried about it turning to ice as that what they were predicting . I was lucky visibility was just starting to get a little white .

Driving was easy as the roads were treated and as I was driving there were trucks going by with salt treating the roads. People were driving carefully and not speeding . I am  grateful to be home watching the first snow from my window . The fireplace is on . I can see the snow blowing outside . I am also grateful to be warm and cozy inside writing this post .

What is this white stuff half the country is talking about? It is still in the 70s out here and supposed to get warmer.

We don't get snow here in Sacramento.  However, I wish that snow would fall on the wildfires here in California.  Unfortunately, none of the areas where they currently are burning usually get it.

Hi Hannah, we had mostly rain all day. But, it may turn to snow tonight. I am thankful for my warm home as well.

Oh my gosh, that is gorgeous, Hannah! I'd love to have snow for Thanksgiving...or Christmas! We so rarely have it here in Charlotte that when we do, the entire city closes down - no one knows how to drive in it unless they're northern transplants!

Stay warm and enjoy the view!

Morning Hannah.

While I know we'll get our share, you can keep all of that white stuff up north.  Good to hear you made it home safe

Hannah, being home safe and sound during snow is definitely something to be grateful for. It was a nasty day outside and I was happy to get home last night.

Miss Hannah,  I so wish I were there with you.  Not at the office with the tech person but safely home with you by the fire - just sitting and talking and getting to know you better.   Maybe someday

Jane Peters  Snow is so beautiful as long as you do not have to drive in it

Myrl Jeffcoat That would be a blessing wouldn't it

Home is just where I love to be when any snow is coming down. A good cup of coffee and a blanket in my lap make it perfect.

Watching snow from inside can be wonderful - cozy, romantic, warm... Having to go out somewhere in it can be the opposite!

I'm glad you were able to get out with no problems!

I like the 1st snow of the season as long as it comes after Halloween Hannah Williams (unfortunately that's rarely the case up North here). I think I like the final snow of the year better than the 1st .
