Thankfulness (Day 9) - Fur Babies, Glorious Fur Babies
On day 9 of Debbie Reynolds' Thanksgiving Challenge, I thought I would share one of my passions in life - sweet, sweet fur babies! Oh, how they make our days, don't they? The unconditional love is unmatched in this life and one of my favorite times of the day is arriving home, being greeted by my 3 adopted family members.
My entire family supports pet adoption and we always go with the intent of 'saving a dog' (or cat in Charlotte's case [our cat, pictured on the right]) and we never fail to realize, during the car ride home, that this fur baby has undoubtedly rescued US! There's just no feeling like it - being able to give comfort, warmth, food and love to these precious gems and in return, receiving loads and loads of unconditional love and oh, such joy! They somehow, some way, march right into our hearts & instantly take them over!
As always, I am committed to getting the word out to ADOPT A PET!
We have so many adorable fur babies just waiting for you at our shelter here in Charlotte - cats and dogs alike - there's a precious little one, just waiting for someone to love. They're anxious to give you their love and appreciation and bring so much joy into your life - joy you had no idea you could experience!

November is senior pet adoption month and there are some adorable senior pets available at Charlotte's shelter. Imagine - little to no training is necessary with a senior pet!
The Humane Society has been providing spay/neuter services in Charlotte for 35+ years. In fact, Charlotte’s Spay/Neuter Clinic was the very first low-cost clinic in the entire Southeast. The Humane Society also provides vaccinations against some of the most common cat and dog diseases so, your new pet is 'protected' before he/she ever leaves the shelter.
What are you waiting for? Hop in the car and head to the Humane Society of Charlotte. You know your precious new K-9 family member will LOVE that car ride home! Some felines like car rides also - my rescue kitty surely does!
Humane Society of Charlotte has two locations:
HSC HQ & Main Shelter:

*Duke, our sweet, always tail-wagging, happy boy!
