On October 23rd I came home from the office to find my wife lying on the floor. I immediately called 911 and paramedics arrived in a few minutes. They immediately rushed her to the hospital. I arrive to an empty room as they were performing a CAT scan on her. When the Doctor had a chance to talk to me her words were "she is conscious if you have anything you want to say to her do it now". It was as if someone had hit me in the stomach as hard as possible. My only reaction was to ask if I should call her children to come, and the answer was yes.
Sharon made it through those first critical hours, and her recover has been great. She now requires physical therapy; however, her insurance coverage has been depleted.
