A short drive from downtown Columbia, SC you can find a wonderful preserved and maintained 400 park along the banks of the Saluda River known as Saluda Shoals Park. Walking trails and scenic overlooks welcome visitors to take in the wonders of nature and get a little fresh air. There are playgrounds for the little ones as well as a splash pad to cool off during the hot days of Summer.
Saluda Shoals also boasts a 10,000 square foot art conference facility and an 11,000 square foot environmental education center. Boat ramps and launches allow visitors to take to the water and picnic shelters invite you to relax and take a load off while enjoying a snack. The cost to visit Saluda Shoals Park is $5 a car.
