Sweet! I'm going through this now. My daughter lives in SC and just got married in April. If and when they decide to have a family, I'll be moving to SC. I've lived in VA my entire life so that will be a transition to me for sure. Even if they don't have a family, I'm still planning to move when my husband retired (3.5 years and counting). My daughter is an only child and wants us to move down.

Was just talking about this the other day with the mother of my daughter's boyfriend.  The kids just bought a house in Michigan (guess she's not coming home anytime soon) and I've been told that a proposal is forth coming. When grandchildren appear on the scene and we pray they do, there will be some hard thoughts about moving to Ann Arbor - Anyone know a good Real Estate Professional??

Sybil, we are in Minnesota where it's winter nearly six months out of 12.  Michigan would be like a paradise vacation spot.  They get snow but they don't get the bitter cold that we get.  We'll see how it goes.  Right now I'd be happy if they get married.
