As we look back this month for the last 9 blog posts there seems to be a common thread. The common theme in my thankful posts has been "The Little Things". Although some of them are huge, like a trip, new lighting & paint, and more, yet these are all little things in the grand scheme of life.
We can be thankful for the basket full of dirty laundry because it reminds us we have clothes on our backs.
We can be thankful for the check engine light on the dash of my car for letting me know it needs attention, and I actually have a car to get to work and run errands. And for the little fuel light that reminds me, I need to put in gas.
We can be thankful for the full trash can and recycling bin, in the fact that we have abundance in our lives.
We can be thankful for the Christmas/Thank you card list as we have family and friends that we care about and want to share the holiday season with.
And we can be thankful for the dust. It is a clear indication that we are living in our space. Dust on the desk from construction. Dust on the nicknacks that remind us of who they came from. Dust (dirt) on the rug that needs vacuuming, because we went and walked a piece of land that is going to be listed, and on which someones dream home will someday sit.
So, be thankful for the little things... sometimes they are the largest parts of our lives.
Yes, this was a challenge presented to us this month and looking back and to the future has been a fun.
