Have you noticed the new road signs in Silver Spring, MD & beyond?

Some roads in Montgomery County are sporting new signs. Perhaps you have noticed them, too, and have been wondering what they are all about.

The brown ones are new this year and signify a rural/rustic road. That means that they are generally narrower, usually scenic with possible historic sights and properties, farmland, and no sidewalks. They were made to raise appreciation for these roads and their uniqueness and [rich] history. There are just under 100 of them in all of Montgomery County.

New street signs in Montgomery County, MD

Our office, Thompson Company's home, is located on one of these roads in 20905 Silver Spring! But most importantly, if you’re looking to buy or sell a home on any kind of road, rural, rustic, busy, with or without sidewalks, in a planned community... give us a call!

I really like the look of the new signs and that is very cool if their color actually signifies something other than the street name.  I have seen different colored signs before and now I wonder if the different color actually signifies more than the street name on it.

I like the look, too, Brian and think it's a really neat idea! Our brokerage is located on one of these rural roads - although we are still within city limits - how cool is that?
