No Imelda Marcos But Many Women Love Shoes

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Gold DRE #00697006

Sure, Imelda Marcos was a criminal who stole a lot of money, but she will always be remembered for her shoes. When she was forced to flee the Phillipines, it was reported she left behind more than 3,000 pairs of shoes. Some reports indicated 7,500 pairs of shoes, to which she famously clarified, "I have only 1,060 pair of shoes."

When you think about it, that's not even one pair a day for 3 years.

Above is my donation this year to charity. It is not all of my shoes, of course, just the ones I care to now donate. Does that make me a bad person? You can read more in my personal blog today at this link: Is it Possible to Own Too Many Pairs of Shoes?

Well you have a few more than you probably need but good for you for donating. I see a few pair I wouldn't mind having, LOL. I have too many shoes myself and now try to not buy unless I really need a certain style.

Elizabeth, should we call you Imelda for short? Seriously we donate clothes we do not use to the Veterans. Good that you donate those shoes you do not use anymore. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Endre

Elizabeth, when I moved, I probably gave away that many pairs of shoes, and still have enough to fill my shoe rack!

Hi Elizabeth... shoes are not my thing... but handbags sure are! I donate some each year, but it often feels like parting with a friend!
