Nope, not a skier.
Nope, don't ride snowmobiles.
Nope, don't need a snowman or snow fort.
So why do I need the snow?
Frost!
The cold weather is driving the frost down fast.
We have 3-6 inches already.
Snow insulates the ground and helps to keep water pipes and and sewer pipes and systems
from freezing.
Besides that the white ground is nicer to look at than all the dead vegetation.
Here I was thanking God today that it's November 25th and we don't have snow...yet. Even though we know it's coming, it's nice to see a bit of open water on the lakes. Soon enough we will have feet of snow and crazy people in ice houses dotting said lakes. I'm OK with looking at the leafless trees and dormant grass. Below zero temps will be here soon enough.

They are ice fishing already. to much snow ould make the ice very dangerous.
But we do need some for the reasons you point out

We have also seen people out on the ice, fishing, Vern. We always say it's the natural selection process at work. The ice is NOT safe.
Bill, it would be ok with me if you got all the snow and we got none.
