"Christmas isn't a season. It is a feeling."
Every year I look forward to putting out my growing Nutcracker collection. I place them prominently on my kitchen counter, and they greet me each morning and put a smile on my face as soon as I walk into the kitchen, flip on the light and prepare my first cup of coffee.
The above picture is about half of my collection. The group of music box Nutcrackers is lined up on the ledge of my kitchen window.
I also moved my Holiday Coffee Mugs into the most prominent position of the cupboard, so they are easily accessible each morning through December. I love my entire coffee mug collection (which I've collected on my various travels), but there is something especially pleasurable about drinking out of my holiday mugs.
What is the takeaway?
You don't need fancy stuff to experience joy.
It is everywhere in a neverending supply of small things.
Happy Holidays everyone!
