It is Time to Review my Listing Presentation

The year is wrapping up and time to review my listing presentation to be sure it is up to-date and ready for the current market.      I always want the most current information in my listing presentation to reflect the times and the services I give to my Sellers.

 

There are things that come to mind over the year that have changed just a bit.   This year there were several open houses where "non-buyers" toured the home and helped themselves to the Seller's possessions.      I want to be sure Sellers are aware of the dangers of an open house when the home is occupied.   I have actually had Sellers gasp with this information.  Prescription drugs must be hidden or removed from the home while on the market.   Many homeowners today have SMART technology, and need to remind them to disconnect before they move.

 

I have many Sellers that will be ready to list their home after the Holidays are over, and I will be ready with the updated presentation!

I just went through this process, myself, Joan, updating my presentation for Coldwell Banker from RE/MAX. I actually review mine every few listing presentations so it's not a huge job at the end of a year. I'm constantly tweaking.

Amanda, sometimes adjusting and tweaking our forms for certain clients is ongoing.   I find most owner occupied properties DO NOT want open houses.

Kathy Streib I do have to tweak for certain Sellers, as condo sellers will have different information from the luxury acreage Sellers for sure.

So glad to hear Mia is doing a bit better, Joan.

It's good to update your listing presentations. I found old production numbers in my CMA handout. So everything needs current year on it. Plus I dropped a digital ad company. Although when it comes to theft at open houses, I've had sellers insist on having two or more agents present just to lessen chances of fast-moving hands.

Thanks Elizabeth, and having more than one agent at an open does help.  I sometimes enlist a lender to assist me, if the Seller wants one.
