Jet Pilots don't use rear view mirrors to get to where they are going. They have a plan to get from one airport to another airport and they don't look back but look forward. That should be the approach we take in planing our business to move forward and look ahead to the next year.
To often we look back and may not take a chance at doing something new. It is like a road map we have a place to get to and need to stay on the road to get there.

Will- I had to ask Larry who flew F-4s if he had rear view mirrors. He said he had 3 but didn't use them.

I look in my rear view mirrors, just to make sure when I'm changing my train of thought, I don't bump into myself.
We should be focused forward, but taking lessons from what is behind (or to the sides). Thanks for your post!

Will, I like that thought. My husband often says something very similar - "the first rule of Italian racing is - What's behind me does not matter". But I tend to think we also need to learn from the past to push forward. Good luck in 2019.
