  • Manual Can Opener

  • One Gallon of Water Per Person & Per Pet Per Day (at least enough for five days)
  • Flashlights
  • Batteries
  • Emergency Radio
  • Battery Powered Radio
  • Battery Powered Clock
  • Cell Phone & Power Cord (to hook up to emergency radio)
  • First Aid Kit
  • Five Day Supply of Prescription Medicines
  • Blankets and/or Sleeping Bags
  • Clothing (enough for each family member for at least 5 days)

Looks like a good emergency kit. We have never had more than maybe 10 days of snow. Not really anything to get too excited about.

I think we have about 4 shovels leaned up against the back door. They were forecasting a storm for Sunday but now apparently it won't come. So the shovels shall rest for now!
