Helping others inspires me and leaves me feeling fulfilled. I’ve noticed over the years that I feel successful when I’m able to help someone else. Reading books from Napoleon Hill is something I enjoy and he has a lot of wonderful quotes but, this has always been a favorite of mine. It's written on the cover of the notebook I use to write what I'm thankful for daily. It reminds me to give back and lend a helping hand whenever possible.
Success is often defined by material items – especially money but, to me success is a feeling. Something as small as checking an item off a to-do list can give me the feeling of being successful, it really isn't about money at all. There’s something very rewarding that comes from helping someone achieve their own success, it brings me happiness. When you help someone else achieve success you form a connection with them and a natural mutual admiration forms. It leaves me feeling humble and grateful.
Helping each other succeed spreads kindness and that’s something our world can always use more of.
