I have recently gone through training and certification in radon measurement and mitigation.
It is surprising that more Buyers are not educated or aware of this easy to test and inexpensive to fix, Cancer causing gas.
In a nearby county they have started requiring passive mitigation techniques for new construction,so if high levels are found after construction(less likely because a passive system will usually reduce gas by 50%),a fan could be easily integrated.
"A consumers guide to radon" by the EPA is a good resource.
