In case you've been wondering where I've been the last couple of months, I've been working on my first real ebook. It's on how to build backlinks to improve the SEO on your blog.
Yes, it took a LONG time to write...it's over 120 pages jam packed with useful information. And, if you're looking to improve the Domain Authority on your site, check it out.
I'm trying to help bloggers make their sites stronger. Because my site is about flooring, painting and home decor, I don't really have the same audience as others who teach people how to blog or make money online.
...So I decided the best way to do the marketing and get better exposure was to launch an affiliate program. So I basically give those bloggers a 40% commission. They have a vested interest in promoting my product, and it's a big win for me as they are sending me people that have an interest in this product.
By the way, I'm using a program called SendOwl for this (still learning it...I hate all this tech stuff...even though I love teaching SEO.
So here are the results so far. Launched at 7am and as of 4pm, sold $882! Yay.
Now, I don't get to keep all of that since I need to pay the affiliates and there are paypal fees. But, so far, it looks like I earned an extra $500+ for the day.
And, I'm already getting so much positive feedback on it. It's exciting. I feel like I'm really helping people. SEO has been a huge part of my success, and I want to help others do the same.
Over the last 7 months or so, I've been doing SEO consultations over the phone. They have gone really well, and now word has gotten out (in the blogger community). So now, I kind of can't keep up. I'm booked out until middle of February.
So I figured that writing an ebook would be a better way to go. I can reach and help more people and free up more of my time for blogging and other projects. Hence the book.
BTW, most of these sales are coming from facebook groups. Yes, another way to market. And, today, I've had several other people request to be an affiliate, and some of the are planning to write posts about my book.
It's so exciting.
I've spent a lot of time on this and now I'm reaping the rewards. I was really worried the last few days how it would go. And, now I just have a huge sigh of relief! Now I can sit back and watch...and maybe even take a nap.
