This year my brokerage, Coldwell Banker Evergreen Olympic Realty in Olympia, WA, tasked the agents and staff to create gingerbread houses. Not too surprising, we took this contest to the next level!
Here are the entries:
First Place - a replica of our office - created by Cheri, Richard, Bruce, and Kelly. (The 50-year candle represents our firm's birthday. Our office was established in 1968.)
Second Place went to our staff with their beach vacation scene. Created by Kathy, Jerrie, Lisa, Dana, and Jamie.
Third Place went to CB for her coffee war statement. A local coffee shop is bulldozing over the big Starbucks gingerbread house.
The other houses created also created a heated contest. My team, unfortunately, did not place but here is our two-story creation by Bob, Karen, Carly and myself:
We even had a hill for sledding marshmallow snow-people and penguins enjoying the campfire.
A cute cabin was created by Denise, Penny, and Ann:
Our broker and his son recreated their home by the water with a lighthouse!
And what started off this two-week frenzy of baking and icing and decorating (which left little time to do actual business), was this creation by Mitch and his wife Laura. Their house sparked the contest.
I'm hoping this will become a tradition in our office as this was a lot of fun, a lot of candy, and a lot of creativity, which is good for the soul! This fun break in the action should refuel us and get us ready to take on 2019! And as my broker mentioned, now his son can put the royal icing down and get back to his homework!
