With almost 40 years of experience and knowledge in sales, and over 12 years in public speaking, I have met thousands of people, who gave up before they really got started in both arenas.
It is so unfortunate!
Hundreds of times, at no cost, I have attempted to offer help to them.
Seriously, they quit before they get started.
You can hand out 10,000 business cards as a real estate agent, and most likely never take a listing or have a sale because of it.
You need to get their number and call them, not wait for them to call you.
You can go stick something with your name and number on it on the front door of 100,000 homes, and never make enough money from it to live off for 90 days.
It takes time, patience, and an enormous amount of tenacity.
Let’s look at the definition of tenacity: stubbornness, endurance, staying power, stamina, firmness, determination, persistence, perseverance.
In addition to those words listed above, you will need practice, practice, and more practice. At what to say, how to say it.
You ask if they might be interested in owning a home in the next couple of months or the latter part of 2019.
It is a little more difficult to say no to that than it is if you ask, do you want to own a home?
You don’t go to college for 60, 90 days or two weeks, and have a degree.
Sales works the same way.
One huge item that was left out on the list above: imagination and believing!
These two ranks right up there with oxygen.
