If your weeks in December are like ours...they are action packed personally and professionally, sometimes with impromptu company or get togethers...and this often calls for "short order appetizer preparation." A trip to Trader Joe's stocks the freezer with quickly baked snacks lots of company enjoys as they munch their way thru the holidays.
One of our "short order favorites"is something we call a Pizzatizer which can have any variety of toppings on it as you please....
Get a round pizza pan (available at the Dollar Store if you taking this as a bring along appetizer to a party.) The "crust" is cream cheese - an 8 oz. "brick" softened and spread evenly over the pan.
Spread a can of Pizza sauce over the top. Then....."decorate" as you wish...cooked italian sausage, peppers, onions, mushroom slices, bacon, chicken or ground beef, pepperoni, ham, olives....veg it up....Make it Meat...Mix it up however you choose.
Sprinkle liberally with shredded mozzarella cheese...add some parmesan and a touch of garlic if you wish. Sorry no real "Pizzatizer" picture available until later this weekend....so these pizza pictures will have to do.
Scoop the "'Tizer" with crackers...Voila ....ENJOY !
