  • Save for your downpayment
  • Check your credit score to make sure there is nothing on there that shouldn't be that could hurt you
  • Pay down as much of your debt as possible
  • Do NOT purchase anything BIG such as a new car, motorcycle, TV etc...
  • Do NOT open new credit cards
  • Do NOT change banks
  • Do NOT change jobs unless

Great tips, for sure! First time home buyers have to trust their real estate agent. After all, as real estate agents, we pass state exams, we learn a lot of real estate terms and definitions, we learn everything about the different types of loans available to first-time buyers, and we learn continuously to stay up to date on local legislation and regulations. So, after all this time spent learning, why wouldn't they trust us?
