Santa Barbara Christmas Vignettes: Santa Dolphin & Santa Bear!

By

We noticed Santa Dolphin near the rooftop of the Santa Barbara Seafood Company, located at the Santa Barbara Harbor.  Our coast is known for its fun loving dolphins that move in pods.  They follow the boats and put on a show, and also act as hosts to the whales migrating to Alaska.   The whales know to follow the dolphins, because where there is a big pod diving, it indicates an abundance of food.

That same day, we were at Ace Hardware.  In the parking lot was this bright green truck with Santa Bear and lots of colorfully wrapped presents.  The owners were buying organic soil for their garden, and advertising their business at the same time.  Everyone was asking them to stay awhile so that they could take a photo of the 1970 beauty with Christmas Spirit!

Hello Alexandra and Ron - your two photos in this post certainly capture the feel of Santa Barbara. The only thing missing is any evidence of Spanish/ Mediterranean tile.

Morning Alexandra.

I see that lady loading her purchase in the back of her van with a big smile on her face.  I wonder if she was smiling about the truck?  Regardless, it was a delightful photo, thanks

Good morning, Alexandra... these are just too cute... I'm always astonished at people's creativity in this regard (maybe because I have none, myself).

Good morning Alexandra, the creativity behind these decorations made me smile. Santa Barbara is an area I would really like to visit, it seems so charming from the photos you share. I love that they're in the holiday spirit too.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD  The couple who own the truck were so adorable.  They do this every year, and apparently their store front is equally fun.  I have not seen it yet.

James Dray She is smiling because I was taking a picture (I asked permission as his wife is in the shot) and because I started to attract several people who also asked permission to take a photo.  There were lots of smiles...an abundance!  A
