Dining out is a treat for most of us! Don’t let indecision sway you towards dining out at a chain restaurant. Start off the New Year by dropping chain restaurants!  Try somewhere new by supporing local eateries while helping your local economy.

I love eating at small, locally owned, restaurants. Especially when traveling. Why eat mass-produced, when you can enjoy "local/Fresh"?

Thank you for reminding us all. Also, share your favorites with friends. It might be what helps a small business owner pay their bills that week.

We love exploring the local dining scene in our area. I did a blog recently about a visit to a local business called Nana's Soul Food Kitchen. Food was outstanding and we had a wonderful time.

Given the choice, I generally prefer to try small "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants and, more often than not, enjoy them. My absolute favorite one is a very small Thai restaurant that is really close to my house and always busy.
