Leverage for 2019 - Whatever You Have, Use It!
Some of the best advice I've read during the final few days of 2018..... well done, Corinne....
My plan for 2019 is well under way, it includes another website for a new target niche market and as I review all the places I have profiles and links I realize I have been remiss in leveraging.
Leveraging is simply taking some skill you have, or a designation, money, and making use of it in your upcoming marketing.
Leveraging designations. While I don't believe that designations gain me much aside from education, and while we all agree consumers do not really care, I wonder how much proof of that statement there is. So rather than assume, if you have designations and they fit your target market, go back and check your profiles. Then next time you write a post, leverage your designation. Make your readers understand you have more education in the field.
Now leverage your profiles. No matter where they are, go back and update them all. I found one of mine with the wrong office address, your's may have the wrong company name! They are not all updated on auto pilot! Take some time to do a quick profile run around and be sure you are happy with what it says. Updated your bio's. Update your social media links, update your blog links and website links and update your photos.
Leverage your marketing budget. Whether it is minimal or a sizeable chunk of change, make sure you are leveraging it to the best of it's dollar value. If you have not or do not assess your marketing dollars and the ROI, you should, even if it means leaving it alone, it's a quick review to make sure things are working well and the leverage is good.
Leverage your skills. We've all got things we are very good at. For some it's creating websites that rank - Me. For others it's Facebook marketing, it might be high level knowledge about a niche, or just what you are naturally good at. Are you leveraging your skills? Are you really? Take a real hard look and see if there's some additional marketing that aligns with your special skills, and don't wait! Start now, do it yourself or outsource the process.
Let's leverage ourselves and get a few more handshakes in 2019.
