Can't make the event?

Here are some ideas for people who can't make the event but still want to recycle their Styrofoam™:

  • Ask your neighborhood Facebook or Nextdoor group if anyone is willing to bring your items to the event for you. (Repay them with holiday cookies?)
  • Read our What Do I Do With It? recycling guide for some year-round recycling and reuse options for Styrofoam™ items.
  • Save it for our 2019 STYRO-Roundup events. (Scheduled in the new year.)

If you can't recycle your Styrofoam™, please put it in your garbage.

Bag up packing peanuts so they don't blow away when your garbage hauler lifts your cart. Styrofoam™ packaging is not recyclable in your curbside bin or at county recycling and disposal facilities.

Wow, I have this book on my shelf for last few years. One of my friends lent me for a week. I had 52K emails on my gmails account then, now  even more ... impossible to go thru them and throw away what is not useful anymore.

BTW, I did 15 miles radius search for Irvine Ca ... no results found for a local CPO. Must be all on another side of the country

Dear Lauren,

These events are so rare here. Always collect the stuff until I get lucky with a recycle event. Take packing materials to the UPS store for reuse.

Styrofoam is such a pain to recycle and not too many places will accept it.  And you are right - love that photo!
