Locals Do Not Go to MacKenzie State Park After Sundown

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Gold DRE #00697006

A while back on Active Rain there was a MeMe of sorts going around in which one of the questions was do you believe in ghosts. That seemed like such an odd question to ask. Interesting, but odd. Like, we all know how Fox Mulder would probably answer that question.

But some people are also very suspicious.

There have been murders and disappearances along with actual "ghost" sightings  and mysterious sounds at MacKenzie State Park in Hawaii; it's not even open at night. But some people will go there.

You are very unlikely to find a local Hawaiian visiting MacKenzie State Park for any reason after sundown. Even if they have set up a small party at the side of the road where people are standing outside their vehicles taking swigs from a bottle of Johnnie Walker Red alternately with Gatorade (I know, it sounds disgusting, doesn't it?), they would not go to this park after dark.

You can read more in my personal blog today at this link: Haunted MacKenzie State Park in Lower Puna.

Myrl Jeffcoat Why, thank you, Myrl. I already enjoyed my Christmas present to myself. It's called sleeping in a couple of extra hours without any contractors banging on my door!

Elizabeth: I love to eat raw seafood when I'm in Hawaii and is from there, and that includes opihi.

Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® I would eat raw opihi. I mean why not? I eat oysters. Even though they are not exactly the same thing. I hear some opihi pickers eat them raw as they find them. I think I'd like horseradish or something. At least rinse them off in the sink, ha, ha.
