Even on holidays I'm an early riser. I'm usually up before 6:00 AM and if I ever sleep past 7 I must be deathly ill so it's no surprise that as usual I was up and about making preparations for this beautiful Christmas day.
I think I'm just as excited as I was when I was a six year old and here I am now in my sixties... for totally opposite reasons of course... I want to see the excitement on others faces and do what I can to insure a joyous attitude for the day.
The only gift I picked out to give today (the better half does all the rest of the shopping) is for my Bride and I had to make room for it on top of my dresser (I can't tell you what it is just in case she reads this post before I give it to her.
In making room I had to clear off many of my things and among those things I found these (not my actual picture) which were given out at our last Easter service.
What a reminder of "The Rest Of The Story" as Paul Harvey would say. Christians celebrate the birth of the Savior who came to sacrifice Himself for the wrongs we have committed and all we need to do is accept the Gift of salvation he provided... and NOTHING else!
