Gaithersburg Olde Towne Project Update

 

 

A six-story mixed-use building is planned for 315 E. Diamond Ave., located just east of Summit Ave. in Olde Towne. It will house ground floor retail space, with multi-family apartments above and a three level parking garage. At their meeting on December 17, the Mayor and City Council authorized the City Manager to execute the development agreement for this property, which also requires the developer to be responsible for relocating or removing the Budd car adjacent to the Gaithersburg Community Museum, and constructing a pedestrian connection between the new development and Olde Towne Plaza. Good morning, Roy - even though I no longer live in the Mid-Atlantic it's interesting, to me, to keep learning what is occurring development- wise in our cities like Gaithersburg, Maryland. Mixed-use, as Barbara said makes for interesting reading/learning.

Roy, very interesting Olde Towne project in Gaithersburg, Md.  We have such a town here northwest and close to the City Beautiful, Orlando. Roy, they are rebuilding this town called Winter Garden; the buildings, housing and projects are amazing and all the property in the town has increased dramatically.
