When I first heard of Boxing Day, I thought it was either a celebration of famous boxers or a day to let go of all your frustrations. (hopefully not on another person).
December 26 is a very special day in many parts of the world. Boxing Day originated in England and is celebrated the day after Christmas. Although there are many thoughts on how Boxing day began, I asked one of my colleagues what makes it memorable for her.
She told me that Boxing Day holds a special place in her heart. It has nothing to do about fighting and everything to do about hanging out with the people you love the most. It's an extra day of holiday fun. The banks are closed and most people have the day off. What makes this day so smashing for her is that there is no pressure about gifts or having to be anywhere. It is a day about relaxing and enjoying being alive and spending time with friends and family.
So whether you live here or abroad, Happy Boxing Day!!! And it’s still ok to love this day because of the fantastic clearance sales!
