Polystyrene Ban to Take Effect Jan. 1 in Rockville, Maryland

 

A ban on the use of polystyrene in food plates, trays, containers or in loose fill for shipping packages in the City of Rockville takes effect Jan. 1, 2019. The ban potentially affects about 400 restaurants and food service establishments, as well as several shipping businesses in the city.

This is a City of Rockville announcement.

Drivers, please remember to allow at least 3 feet when passing a cyclist. Bicyclists also must follow all the rules of the road when riding in traffic. Always be on the lookout for one another.
