Don't Give up the Future, Give up the Past

Services for Real Estate Pros with John Henry Masterworks Design International, Inc. 13013

If you've waited too long and lagged behind somewhat

If you think that there is no more left to do

If you feel defeated because things don't seem to be working out

If you've wasted opportunities and wish you could get your game back

If you feel it's over at this point and there is no way to keep up

If you think you don't have the energy to try again

If you think your mistakes are not redeemable

If you listen to your demons and convict yourself unnecessarily

If you find yourself mired in self-pity about things that have happened long ago

If you think life has passed you by and you cannot get back on your feet

If you've taken some hard blows and think you are forgotten now

If you believe it is impossible to turn your life or business around

It is NEVER too late to right the course

You have the ability to alter your future

What is past is past

What is now is now

What is important is YOU and your will to overcome

Don't give up the Future, give up the Past

Wow - what an inspirational post for the first day of 2019!

As the song lyrics say, "Today is the first day of the rest of my life." I will strive to remember that this year.

What  great post!  I love this and  appreciate your opinions about focusing on the present, not the past.  It's so important to wipe the slate clean and ignore the past to benefit more for the here and now.

We do need to give up some things - like hurts, resentments, thoughts about times we've been less than successful. They're over and done. It's time to let go of them and get on with today - and tomorrow.

Happy New Year to you John!

Yasssssss!  Give up the past.  Preach!

Too many people letting their past color their future.  It's a shame, really.

I'm glad to see this post featured, that the message might reach more people.

Thanks, .

I heard an agent in my office discussing a client who decided to withdraw the listing. This agent hadn't really been given a chance and, after a few minutes of reflection, she said "well, on to the next one"! I bookmarked that in my brain for future use, for sure. I want to focus more one what is going to happen instead of what could have happened!

The only things we should keep from the past are memories that make us smile. The rest is free to go...

You know, you can't sweat the things that didn't work - no regrets, just adjust and move on! I'm all about not looking back...well, unless we're talking about quality old houses or cars, John!
