Real estate 2019. A new frontier.
As I close out 2018 the time is now to prepare for my best year yet. Facing a challenging market (multiple offers, paying more than list price etc) buyer’s NEED to be prepared for this. My job is to educate you on the challenges of this ever changing market. After 30+ years I don’t know everything but I do have a firm grasp on what I’m supposed to be doing. I need to sharpen my skills in negotiating AND acquiring more listings. Listings are the name of the game. I have several seller(s) who will be putting their home(s) on the market. So January is preparation month to get those on the market and get them sold asap.
Sometime you need to look at where you are BUT anticipate where you want to go. I know where I want to be and I also know I have to surround myself with people to help me get there. There is strength in numbers. I’ve already connected with past clients asking for their business in 2019. My goal is to have the best year yet in real estate. I did have a great 2018 but 2019 I want to go to a higher level. Concentrate and focus on the goals that I set for myself. I don’t have the luxury some people have so time is of the essence. Education is key. 2019 there will be education opportunities that will help me get to where I need to go. I closed out 2018 with a new designation (International Real Estate Practitioner) so I will have to look for another one next year. I may possibly join one of the service committees (at the board level) to surround myself with fellow professionals. I will never say that I know everything so that’s why I need to go back to the basics. If I want something different I need to do something different. We all remember what the definition of insanity is? Hit the ground running in 2019. Put in the work and reap the benefits. Be a blessing to someone along the way. Soak up new strategies. Be a sponge. Learn from other’s as you don’t know everything. I have a lot to learn. I have to be honest with myself. That's how we overcome.
