Moving to North Carolina?

North Carolina has a lot ot offer! I moved from California and was worried there wouldn't be enough outdoor activities and also was concerned about temperate weather. Well, after living here sine 2006 I can tell you I did not need to worry! There are beaches, mountains, swamps and all kinds of things to do. Desert is the only thing missing. I did a little backpacking and trout fishing in Linville Gorge Wilderness.

North Carolina is expected to grow by 100,000 per year. Most of those are relocating to the Raleigh/Durham and Chapel HIll areas also known as the Triangle. The combination of all three cities equals just under two million residents, just below Charlotte. The nearest beach is about 2 hours away and mountains are about 2 1/2 hours away.

Although weather can certainly fluctuate, you will find that many days out of the year the weather is comfortable and outdoor activities are enjoyable. Maybe go to the beach town of  Wilmington where many movies are filmed or the famous Outer Banks.  Got mountain? Be sure to visit The Biltmore Mansion in the Appalachian Mountains or take a drive through the Smoky Mountains on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Whatever you like you're likely to find it here! If you are thinking about moving here or buying a vacation home, contact me today!
