Although we are always reporting on Denver property management news and events, we sometimes like to recommend an event outside of our radius. This is the case for anything in Colorado Springs. If anyone lives more south like Highlands Ranch or Castle Rock, the Springs are not that long of a drive. The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center will have an event called Amos P. Kennedy, Jr and the Press for only $10. This just started this month, and will go until April 7th, 2019. Letterpress printer Amos P. Kennedy, Jr. will be teaching a 9-day letterpress workshop at The Press at Colorado College in January of 2019. The workshop will be an open-ended experiment in the public, collaborative nature of letterpress printing. According to Amos, this show will be: “A lot of sheets of paper with ink on them. These sheets of paper are evidence of the process of making unintentional marks intentional.” The workshop and exhibition at the FAC are part of a year-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of The Press at Colorado College. We know we have many different people who have many different backgrounds in our Denver property management portfolio, so if even one of you is interested in this event it sounds worthwhile. There are many hobbies these days that are not popular and so deep dives like this can be a great way to connect with others that have the same esoteric hobbies as yourself.
