Do you make New Year's Resolutions?

It is only January 3rd.  It is not too late to make resolutions/goals for the New Year.  Even if you don't like the term 'New Year's Resolution', making a list of your daily goals has been proven to help.  There has been much written about whether it takes 21 days or 66 days to form a habit.  No matter the number, writing a list of your goals helps in so many ways.  First, writing anything down will help you remember.  Many of us can think back to a time when we were in school.  While you are in class you think that you will remember what the professor is saying because it makes sense at the time.  Then you would get home and think 'Darn, I wish I would have written that down' because you can't seem to remember exactly what you are trying to remember.  When you write down your goals it helps you put them into action.  You can make something concrete out of what you were thinking about.  It also helps you focus on the task at hand.  Sometimes, small things get in the way and having a list to keep you on task will help weed out some of those little things that are not necessary.

So, back to the question.  Do you make New Year's Resolutions?  Write down your goals?  What are your BEST practices to help you stay on task?

2019 is going to be a Great Year!!!  Let's do this.

1.  Make 2019 a Great Year

2. Start making daily lists

3. Follow through on my daily list :)

I do tend to make a couple New Year resolutions.  But, I am also continually reassessing throughout the year.

It’s funny that I’m revisiting this post about New Year’s resolutions in March but it makes sense to keep on track! :)

I like that wording: continually reassessing. That’s powerful, Myrl! Thanks for the inspirational phrase!
