Ron and Alexandra Seigel hi Alexandra, Hugh McColl, the retired CEO of Bank of America tried hiring me throughout the late 70's and until I retired from the corporate world in 1989. I saw no redeeming value in moving to Charlotte all that time in spite of the professional opportunities. Then he bought Bank of America and moved the HQ to Charlotte. When we moved here in 1998, we were early in the big move to Charlotte. Now, it's like a tsunami and not just because of BofA!

One of these days, perhaps you can share what Charlotte used to be prior to the extensive growth. It would be intereseting to see the difference. :)
Reading from all your blog posts, I can understand why it is a popular destination choice. Congratulations Charlotte!

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 hi Sheila and Larry, watching Charlotte's growth since we moved here almost 21 years ago has been an incredible experience.
Nina I know that many people have left CT and headed to NC and SC. Our taxes and cost of living are getting out of control, while you guys are making it attractive for those leaving CT.

Hi Nina,
Just like what George mentioned, I knew of some people who relocated to the Carolinas. With the information you provided, who would have a second thought to hire your expertise?: )

George Souto hi George... the Carolinas are sort of mid-way between Florida and New England and lots of people like being that bit closer to where they came from when they move.
Maria Gilda Racelis thanks, Maria, for the lovely compliment. We've drawn many people to the Carolinas from NY, CT, NJ. I was one of them almost 21 years ago!

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS hi Paul... at the end of the day, there could be a whole worse places to live than the Carolinas!
Hi Nina Hollander, clearly, Charlotte NC is one of the most desirable areas to move to in the US. There are so many good reasons to choose the Carolinas.

Beth Atalay hi Beth... life in the Carolinas is good... and we've also just been named a top 5 city to retire in, as well.
Hi Nina
I have seen several reports, including the United Van Lines one. Good news I'd say in terms of your economy and the housing market!!

Jeff Dowler, CRS hi Jeff... it is good news for our economy. From a housing standpoint, I consider it a mixed blessing... so long as we are experiencing thinventory, all the demand is only driving up prices and driving out buyers who are in a more modest price range.
Nina,
I am not surprised that many are choosing your area to move to. Having visited Charlotte briefly a few years ago, it was a no-brainer to see why it had so much appeal to so many. Have a great week. A
